Favola @ Le Meridien

I'm always very fond of Italian culinary. Pasta, pizza, anti-pasti~~Ottimo!! So after reading blog after blog where foodies raved about this great Italian restaurant offering delectable cuisine, I couldn't resist paying it a visit. Favola which means fable in Italian is located at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur. True to its name, the restaurant has a fable-like theme.

We're greeted by Venetian maschere as we walked down the hallway leading to the restaurant. Really felt like entering a ristorante in Italy^^

The place is quite packed...I guess it's because of the Big Red Food Review on RedFM by Aly throughout that week....

Beautiful mural....

Coupled with perfect lightning....

Something to warm up our stomach^^ I love these breadsticks & focaccia with a variety of dipping~~~

Pasta Polpetta~~

Conchiglioni Marinara~~

Acqua Panna...Taste like ordinary H2O to me but definitely much costly.....

While going to the restroom, I passed through this private function room~~ This room with RED theme to it....Very posh..Perfect for a private gathering^^

BLACK theme... is so grand as well~~

The pool is just next to the restaurant so we dropped by to catch some fresh air after dinner....We passed through a tunnel that can connects to Hilton Hotel which is only next door....
and saw Iketeru, a Japanese restaurant at Hilton which I heard the quality is great...Wish to try it out some other times^^

Wish to jump into the pool for a night swim~~Hehe...

Hope to return someday to try the other restaurants here^^

The Dawn of the Tiger Year~~~

*Blush*....I was way lagging behind after Chinese New Year, thanks to the fact that I'm a total IDIOT in the ART of BLOGGING!!!!! I've been trying relentlessly to upgrade my current classic template to advanced mode but to no avail!!!! I've try clicking this & clicking that but everything just runs from its original setting......grrrrrr......In the end, I've to switch back to the classic mode....*sob...sob*.... Would some WISE CONNOISSEUR out there kindly enlighten an AMATEUR like me so i can master this fine art????

Ok...cool...cool...calm down...Besides this unfortunate event, the New Lunar Year has pretty much started out in a BLAST!!! The eve, 1st day & 2nd day of the lunar calendar were usually spent with family & relatives. The agenda usually include reunion dinner, visiting temples, "bai nin" with relatives on both paternal and maternal sides, bingeing, catching up on the latest gossips in the family etc etc etc........

From Chor 3 onwards, I'll usually meet up with friends and have "bai nin" sessions with each other to build up on our reservoir of angpow...hehehe......This year is even better because I get to meet up with friends from high school that I haven't seen for AGES!!!

# 1st stop...If you have seen us 10 years ago, u'll notice MAJOR evolution!!!! I personally looked like a NERD back then...hahaha...

# 3rd stop.... Missed the 2nd stop shoot cos we're too busy catching up & gossipping...... Only a few years back, our topics ranged from exams, assignments, thesis, courses etc etc... Now our discussions revolved around works, bonus, appraisal or for some, getting hitch....

On Chor 4, we met up at Mid Valley to catch the CNY's comedy movie, "72 Tenants" ...Luckily my besties bought the tickets a day b4, if not we'll end up in the horrendous queue or failed to get tickets............

A compulsory shoot for us with the CNY's decor backdrop....haha....

Before movie, we filled our tummy at Dragon-i.... It's been a while since i feasted on the sumptous mee....

During lunch, one of my besties (sassy Cat) & I decided to hit the OPERA at night since it's a WEDNESDAY & we need not work the next day...Hooray!!! I think she's practically my ONLY besties that clubs cos the rest of my girlfriends are real GOOD GIRLs (they sweared off clubbing for good)!! Apparently, me who only club for like at most 5times a year is labelled as a very super WILD lass to them...duh.......I'm on the HUNT for kaki clubbing these days.....

So here we are.....Nope....we'r not there yet, just a quick pose with the God of Wealth^^Hopefully he will bring me more wealth this year..hohohoho....

OPERA~~The building itself was enticing with nice lightnings^^

Me with Sassy Cat while waiting for her cousin brothers to arrive^^

It's already very crowded and we have to squeezed ourselves in......... I like the fusion of imperial-like + urban settings inside....

The coolest thing about OpeRa is that they have acrobatic shows on every other hours in between!!!!!

A dangerous stunt as I didn't see any safety measures on...........Her best bet is her very strong arm and skills~~

Another acrobatic show.....

Bravo~~~

Cool DJ spinning & jamming~~

On Chor 5, as if customary I went to Thean Hou Temple.... It's been an annual ritual for me since 2007~~

After the visit, we went for 14Blades starring Donnie Yen (my favourite action star)^^ at Mid Valley. The next day, it's back to work for me. What a great start for a new lunar year^^ *Already anticipating CNY 2011*...hehehe....

Mai Thai Restaurant

Since mum & dad are avid fan of Thai's food, I brought them to try this Thai Restaurant that I have spotted earlier in Taman Desa. Upon entering the eatery, I can sensed a very authentic Thai's ommmppphhh.... but only a pair of diners was there even though it's already 7pm++ so I was not so sure whether it's a right pick or not at 1st.....

The place looks like it's been around the neighbourhood for quite a while already......

The menu looks a bit worn-out but offers quite a wide selection of dishes.......

My confident returned upon the arrival of the foods!!!!! Looks very yummy^^

Indeed it is~~ The taufu dish was a thumb-up from me^^

Even though there's not much meat to feast upon this skinny fish, I love the gravy a lot~~ It's very appetising^^

The chicken was tender & the sauce is just to my liking~~

Nothing much I can comment on this dish since I guess we can't go too wrong with vege.......

Dad suddenly had a sweet tooth & ordered the Thai Cendol~~

A nice place for some Thai feast^^ Wouldn't mind returning the next time~~
